6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup olive oil
6 tsp. baking powder
6 tsp. anise seed (or 1/2 tsp. anise extract or oil, or a combination of some or all—whatever you have!)
3 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat eggs.
2. Add separately sugar, oil and anise.
3. Mix in last, the flour already mixed with the baking powder. Make a firm dough. Add more flour , if necessary.
4. Line sides of ungreased baking sheet with 2 inch wide dough. Leave center free.
5. Bake 20 minutes at 400°F until golden color.
6. Cut about 1 inch wide.
7. Turn over and bake in oven about 5 minutes each side or until done.

Here is another version.
Again, try dipping in chocolate, adding chocolate chips or blanched almonds to the recipe. You can even add dried cranberries and a little orange rind!
