1 3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. baking soda (dissolve in 1/ cup warm water)
3 c. quick oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. raisins (soaked in hot water, drained)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF. 11' x 15" sheet pans.
Mix crisco, and sugars, add eggs, vanilla, flour, soda, salt and oatmeal, mix well. Then add spices, raisins and nuts blend in. Drop by teaspoonfuls unto baking sheet. When cookies start to brown pinch top to see if they are done about 8 min. do not over bake they will get too hard when cooled.
