2 C. Flour
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 C. Shortening
1 Egg (beaten into Milk)
1/2 C. Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut flour into shortening. Add other ingredients and mix together to form a ball, Pat out dough on floured board until 1 1/2 inches thick. With floured glass or biscuit cutter, cut out individual shortcakes. Place on un-greased baking sheet, sprinkled with flour. Bake at 450º for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Split shortcakes and cover bottom with strawberries or other fruit, add top and cover with fruit and top with plenty of Whipped Cream.
