Ingredients:
4 split chicken breasts with bone
3 tablespoons butter
3 small cans Hunts tomato sauce, 8 oz each
salt
garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut each breast in half across breast on short side through the bone.

Melt butter in large skillet. Generously sprinkle both sides of each chicken breast with salt and garlic powder. Add chicken to the pan and cook on both sides about 5 minutes until each side is golden brown.

Put breasts in large baking dish, plump side up (bone down). Add tomato sauce around the chicken, not over the breasts. Drizzle the butter from pan and browned bits into the tomato sauce. Cover chicken with foil and put into heated oven for about 2 hours until chicken is tender. I usually flip the chicken over about halfway through cooking.

You can also make this in a crockpot instead of the oven and cook all day (no flipping of breasts required). Serve the chicken with your favorite kind of pasta, there will be plenty of sauce for at least a pound of pasta. I usually serve with green beans or salad on side.
