For Cake:
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c butter
1 egg
1/2 milk
1 tsp vanilla

For Topping:
1/2 c brown sugar, packed
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c chopped nuts
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp butter, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 6x9 or an 8x8 pan.

For Cake: Sift flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Cut in butter until the consistency is like fine crumbs (this can be done with a pastry blender.) Beat the egg, milk and vanilla together until blended. Add to flour mixture and stir until mixed well.

For Topping: Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nuts. Mix in melted butter.

In a prepared pan, pour 1/2 of cake batter. Sprinkle topping mixture over batter. Spoon remaining batter over topping mixture.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.
