1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 T. cinnamon
Batter:
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
2 teas. baking powder
1 teas. vanilla
1 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas. salt
1/2 pt. sour cream
2 eggs well beaten

Directions:

Method: Combine sour cream and soda until doubles in volume. Set aside. Blend sugar, butter, add eggs, vanilla and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, add to sugar and egg mixture. Pour 1/2 of the batter into greased and floured 9" pan, spread evenly. Spread half of the topping on top of the batter and press down lightly with a fork. Pour the rest of the batter on top gently and evenly. Then add the rest of topping. Double this recipe to get a 9 x 13 cake. Bake 45 minutes at 350º
