4 stiffly beaten eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 sq. chocolate (1 sq. = 3T cocoa & 3T shortening)
2/3 c. milk
2 teas. vanilla
1 teas. salt
1 teas. baking powder
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 c. sugar to beaten eggs. Beat until thick. Add melted shortening and chocolate square to egg mixture. Add the milk, vanilla, salt, baking powder, flour and walnuts. Beat well and bake in a jelly roll pan at 350º about 25 minutes. Frost if desired. Makes a large quantity.
