1 loaf French bread, cut into 1" cubes
8 eggs
3 c. milk
4 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

APPLE CIDER SYRUP
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. apple cider/juice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Place French bread cubes into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Beat the eggs, and add the milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt to the eggs. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Cut the cream cheese into 1/2 inch cubes and place on top of the bread. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake covered at 350º for 45-50 minutes or until a fork comes out clean.

Apple Cider Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and cider/juice until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat: cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg.
