4 cups flour
1 t. salt
1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar
1 cup Crisco
3 eggs beaten
1 packet dry yeast dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
1 cup lukewarm milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, salt, and sugar.
2. Cut in Crisco; then add eggs, dissolved yeast, and milk. Mix thoroughly.
3. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
4. Three hours before serving, roll out dough about 1/2 inch thick.
5. Cut into circles or squares, cut halfway through, dab with melted butter, fold over, dab more butter on top.
6. Let rise 2 hours.
7. Bake at 400º for 12 minutes.

To make ahead and freeze, let rise. Cook 6 minutes; cool; cover tightly; freeze. Thaw slightly before you finish baking. If you want to make them ahead, but not freeze, you can roll out, cut, and put on baking sheet; then refrigerate for several hours. THEN take out of refrigerator 2 hours before you want to bake them.
