1 large head of lettuce, cut up and laid out to DRY
1/2 small purple onion, thinly sliced and cut into small pieces
1 lb. crisp bacon bits
1 head cauliflower cut up in very small pieces
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Layer ingredients in a colander strainer in the order listed, beginning with lettuce and ending with salt and pepper.
2. Cover tightly and refrigerate.
3. Transfer to a large bowl and toss IMMEDIATELY before serving.
