1 lb. sifted confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup + 1 T. Crisco
2 1/4 oz. skim milk
1/4 t. butter flavor
1 t. vanilla (use clear vanilla if you want white icing)
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
2. Beat at least 4-5 minutes, scraping bowl to incorporate all the sugar.
3. Ice cake with icing at this consistency.
4. To use for writing on a cake, you will need to thin it with a few drops of milk (add a few drops only at a time so you won't get it too thin.) To make flowers and borders, you will need to thicken with a bit more confectioner's sugar.
