Ingredients:  
1 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1/4 teas. salt
1 c. sugar
1 T. mixed pickling spices
Beets
Jars and lids for canning

Directions:
Directions:
Boil beets and remove skin. Quarter. Bring above ingredients to boil. Put beets in jars and put syrup over them. Seal in water bath canner for 15 minutes. 2 batches of syrup equal to about 5 canned pints of beets.
