2 c milk
3 T butter
2 T sugar
2 tsp salt
1 yeast cake
6 c flour
1/4 c luke warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Put butter, sugar and salt in a bowl and add the scalded milk. When cooled to luke warm add yeast, which has been dissolved in the water. Add flour, beating vigorously until no more can be beaten in. Cover and let rise until three time original size. Roll 1/2 inch thick, cut, spread with butter and fold. Put in buttered tins, one inch apart. When light, bake in hot oven 15 or 20 minutes.
