4 ounces butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup milk
2 eggs
Lemon
¼ cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Oven temperature 350°. Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs and milk together. Sift flour and baking powder. Chop walnuts. Grate 1 tablespoon rind from lemon. Cut lemon in half. Squeeze out juice.

To creamed mixture add the rind, milk and egg mixture, walnuts. Finally the flour and baking powder mixture. Pour into lined tins. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Lift from tin. Pour 1 tablespoon juice over each cake. Cool.
