"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Combine egg and water. Add bread mix; stir in remaining ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes in a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Line the pan with parchment paper and grease bottom and sides before baking.

Cool completely. Can decorate with cherries and a glaze of warm corn syrup. Wrap the cakes in cheese cloth and soak the cloth with brandy. Wrap in aluminum foil and store in refrigerator.

Personal Notes:
Cake will keep for a year in the refrigerator. It's better to occasionally add more brandy to the cheescloth to keep it moist.
