2 lb. chicken, cut up
1 lb. tomatoes
1/2 sweet pepper
1/4 chile pasa
1 small onion
5-6 bay leaves
1 T. thyme
2 T. rice or tortilla flour
red paste recado or achiote
salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook tomatoes, sweet pepper, chile pasa and onion in 2 cups water. Blend in blender. Fry chicken with bay leaves, thyme, and salt. When the chicken is fried, pour the tomato sauce over it and cook until chicken is ready. To thicken sauce, dissolve the flour and recado in a little water. Cook on low heat. Serve with rice, guacamole, and tortillas.
