Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl. Stir in sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 cups of flour and egg. Mix well, then add salt and remaining 2 cups flour, a little at a time, stirring well after each addition. Cover bowl with a damp cloth and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. When ready to bake rolls, remove dough from refrigerator and roll out to 1/3 inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 2 inch circles with a biscuit cutter. Dip each roll in the remaining 1/2 cup melted butter, fold in half and place snugly together in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Let rise in a warm place for 2 hours, or until doubled in size. Bake at 400º for 12 - 15 minutes until brown.

Now that I am a "Grand Mother" I can claim this recipe! My grandchildren love this! The aroma of yeast rolls baking is the best!
