800 grams (4 cups) mixed fruit
200 grams (1 cup) sultanas
150 grams (¾ cup) glacé cherries
¼ pound butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons marmalade
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon allspice
½ cup cold water
½ cup sherry
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Put fruit, butter, sugar, spice, marmalade and water in saucepan. Boil three minutes and cool. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in a greased 8 inch tin about for two hours at 275°.

This recipe is from Hayden's maternal grandmother Joan Campbell. I substituted apple juice for the sherry. Check for doneness prior to the two hours.
