Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 small boneless pork shoulder roast
(skin off about 2 pounds) (I use pork tenderloin)
1 can of Dr Pepper
1 tsp. honey
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 c. store bought or homemade Kansas City-style barbecue sauce
( I prefer Charleston Pig Company BBQ Sauce I find at Harris Teeter)

Directions:
Directions:
Put roast in your crock pot and combine Dr. Pepper, honey,
vinegar salt and pepper
Pour over meat.  Cover and cook on low setting.
After the meat has cooked at least 7 hours, drain off excess liquid
and shred the meat into small bits with two forks.
Add the barbecue sauce to the pork and stir well.
Cover the slow cooker and cook for 1 more hour.
You can even add the sauce and eat right then but it is better to let sauce cook a little longer but the meat is so flavorful and tender.
