1 lb of thin sliced sirloin cut into small cubes
1 box of fideo ( vermicelli )
1 fresh chopped tomato
1 onion chopped
1 Serrano chili cut in half
1 can tomato sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
Cumin
Vegetable Oil
*** you can use round steak for the meat but you will need to cook it longer as it is a tougher piece of meat but less expensive ***

Directions:
Place meat in large pan, add small amount of oil and brown the meat then add onions, tomatoes, chili, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and cumin to taste. Add water to cover an allow to simmer while you are preparing the fideo

Add 1 Tbsp of oil to pan and brown Fideo to a golden brown turning constantly to avoid burning over medium heat.

Add Fideo to large pan with meat, mix together add extra water if necessary to cover over low to medium heat. Allow to cook about 10 mins...only stir once ( fideo will become mushy if you stir to often )

dont forget to heat he griddle for the tortillas...
