Million Dollar Fudge- Mom's Christmas fudge Recipe

Ingredients: 1/2 C. butter 1- 12oz. can evaporated milk 4 C. sugar 8 oz. Hershey's chocolate with almonds (We used to be able to buy a big 8 oz. bar. Now you need to check the oz. They keep getting smaller) 1-12 oz. bag milk choco. chips 7 oz. marshmallow creme 1 1/2 C. walnuts (optional- I happen to love them!)

Directions:Break chocolate bars into small pieces. Put in large plastic bowl. Add chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Melt butter, add milk and sugar. Cook on med. to soft ball stage when tested in cold water. (Make sure to stir so it doesn't burn on bottom. Don't scrape sides while stirring.) Pour over chocolate, marshmallows and nuts (if you want them). Stir quickly until thick. If the sugar etc. was cooked to real soft ball, you'll need to stir longer. If it was cooked to a firmer soft ball you will need to stir more quickly and less. I know I'm done stirring when it holds it's shape but is still spreadable. Spread into well buttered 9x13 pan. |
