Pickles - small size
2 Bunches of dill (one on top and one on bottom)
3 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
2 slices of onion (one on top and one on bottom)

Water, sugar and vinegar is enough to make 3 quarts.

Directions:
Combine water, vinegar and sugar; heat till sugar is dissolved. Put slice of onion and small bunch of dill in bottom of jar, pack pickles tightly; put a bunch of dill and a slice of onion on top). Add 2 teaspoon of salt on top and pour hot liquid over pickles; then put on jar lids (which has been in hot water) and screw bands on tight. Put in canner and cover with water, bring to a boil then remove jars immediately, After 24 hours take off screw bands and store. Make sure lids are sealed.
