2 cups of white flour
Sift:
1 cup of whole wheat pasty flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
In medium bowl cream:

1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbs water
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add dry ingredients to creamed. Mix and chill for 2 hours. Unwrap 20 or so pieces of mints. Take 2 tablespoons or less of chilled dough and bury one candy in dough-shaped cookie. A fine dusting of powdered sugar is optional. Bake at 375 degrees, 9-10 minutes.
