Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 2 lb Beef Chunks (I like to cut up Round Steak) - cut into 1" chunks 2 tbsp Flour 2 tbsp Oil 4 cups Water Garlic Clove - minced Vegetables cubed - Potatoes, Carrots (to hold the heat in - lol), Onion & Celery

Directions: |
Directions:Coat beef cubes with flour - dusting off the excess. Heat oil to medium high and brown the meat in batches. Return all meat to pan and add water and seasoning mix. Bring to a boil and simmer. At this point: I put into (heated) crock pot and simmer on low for 1 - 2 hours to make the meat tender. Stir occasionally if you are home. Add veggies and continue to cook for 30 - 40 minutes until they are tender.
When vegetables are not quite cooked - drop in Grannie's Suet Dumplings and cover again and cook for about 30 minutes.
Note: if you are short of time - zap the vegetables in the microwave to get them started then add to soup.
Sprinkle Curry Powder in individual bowl if desired - I love it! :) Dad doesn't! :( |
