1/2 pound candied cherries
3 cups pecans
1/2 pound seedless raisins (1 1/2 cups)
1/4 pound citron ( 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup butter1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup dry wine
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons soda
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Chop fruits and nuts into medium sized pieces. Cream butter & sugar, add eggs. Stir in wine. Dissolve soda in the milk and stir into creamed mixture. Sift flour and spices together; put half of the flour over the fruit and nut mixture. Stir remaining flour into the batter. Add fruit and nut mixture into the batter; mix well.

Drop cookies by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
