1 1/4 c. real butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg together. Add alternately with milk until well mixed. Roll out to about 1/4" thick and cut into shapes. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes.

This is a great Christmas cookie. It can be iced or you can put sprinkles on top.
