1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup molasses
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
3 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and molasses. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour milk, beating after each addition. Bake in 2 greased 9 inch square pans in 350° oven for 30-35 minutes.
