4 cups flour
2 cups white sugar
1 cup Crisco shortening
2 cups warm water with one teaspoon baking soda
1 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°

grease a 9 x 12" baking pan, set aside

combine flour, sugar and shortening. Take out 1 cup of flour and set aside for use in the topping. Add water and molasses to remaining dry ingredients mixture and pour into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the reserved dry ingredients over the top of batter.

Bake for 45 minutes
