2 Tbsp Butter
1 1/2 C Dates pitted and chopped
1 C Confectioners Sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp Salt
2 1/2 C Crisp Rice Cereal
1/2 C chopped Walnuts
1 tsp Vanilla
2 C flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Using a double boiler, heat butter, dates, sugar, eggs and salt. Stir constantly until very thick, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.

Add crispy rice cereal, walnuts, and vanilla. Mix well and form into small balls. Roll in coconut. Keep refrigerated.

This is not actually Grandma's Date Ball recipe, I never got it from her. But I think it comes close to it. These remind me of Grandma!
