2 lbs. smoked link sausage, sliced (I use the smoked turkey or turkey kielbasa)
1 med. onion
2 c. sliced carrots
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 c. chopped celery
4 c. peeled and cubed potatoes
16 c. rich beef broth
1 garlic clove, minced
1 T. brown sugar
1 tsp. pepper
4 c. shredded cabbage
salt to taste


*Makes a lot!

Directions:
In a large stock pot or dutch oven, brown sausage (the kind I use is already cooked). Drain off fat. Add remaining ingred. except cabbage and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Add cabbage and cook for 15 min. more. Taste for salt.
Garnish with parsley (unless you're Brooke-LOL!)
