1 pkg Bakers German Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup water
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate in water. Mix dry ingredients & set aside. Beat butter & sugar until creamy. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Stir in chocolate mixture & vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Stir egg whites into batter. Pour into prepared 12" X 9" pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Ice with Coconut Pecan Frosting.
