1 chicken, boiled
2 qt chicken broth
1 small can Pet Milk
1 c warm water
4 T shortening, melted
1 t salt
2 c flour
black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken until tender, remove from broth and set aside to cool. Add Pet Milk to broth. FOR DUMPLINGS: Place in a bowl, warm water, melted shortening and salt. Add flour and mix well. Have batter thick enough to roll out. Roll dough into 1/4" thickness, cut into 2" strips and drop into boiling broth a few at a time. Add pepper to taste. Cook until firm. Cut chicken into pieces and add to dumplings in broth.
