14 1/2 cups of Flour - sifted once
2 Dozen Large Eggs - Yolks ONLY
2 1/2 tsp Salt
Water
1 Quart Milk
3/4 lb Butter
2 cups Sugar
2 pkgs Yeast
1/2 cup Raisins (optional)

This recipe can be cut in half!

350º 30 - 35 minutes

Beat egg yolks well, until lemon colored. Add 1/2 tsp salt to the egg yolks and 2 tsp to the flour. Mix in a 1/2 cup cold water, 1 qt of milk 3/4 lb butter 2 cups of sugar. Heat until luck warm.

Dissolve yeast cakes or packaged either is OK in 1/2 cup milk lukewarm Add 1 tsp sugar mix well and let the yeast rise for a few minutes.

Put all into the flour mixture, the yeast is the last thing you put in. Beat well so it will rise faster. You can add raisins if you like now. let rise in pan for about 1 - 1 1/2 hrs, Punch dough down. Put into 3 or 4 loaf pans greased well!
