1/3 Cup Shortening
1 lb Light Brown Sugar
3 Eggs
2 3/4 Cups Flour
2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Nuts (optional)
1 cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 325 - 350º (no cooking time given)

Melt shortening and combine with light brown sugar, keep warm.

Beat 3 eggs, add flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Add to warm mixture, drop chocolate chips in and mix. (by dropping chips last it make it easier to spread)

Cut into squares when cool.
