½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons vinegar
¼ teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 ½ cups water
½ cup raisins
2 tablespoons butter or melted ham fat

Directions:

Mix brown sugar, mustard, and cornstarch. Slowly stir in vinegar.

Add remaining ingredients. Stir over low heat till thickened. Serve hot.
