In a small pot with just enough water to cover, boil 10 minutes then set aside till plump:
1-1½ C raisins
1 TBS butter
2 tsp vanilla

In a large bowl mix together:
1 cup brown sugar
1 TBS flour
½ tsp nutmeg (or cinnamon)
⅛ tsp salt

In another bowl whisk together the following, and then fold into sugar mixture:
3 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 C dairy sour cream
1 tsp lemon juice

Directions:

Roll pie crust to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Flute edges and prick sides and bottom with a fork, bake 8 minutes at 350°

Drain raisins and fold into filling, add ½ C chopped walnuts ( if desired). Pour into partially-baked pie shell and bake until set, about 30-40 minutes. Top with meringue (if desired) and cool on wire rack.
