1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. butter
1/2 c. hot milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once, measure; add baking powered and salt; sift three times. Add sugar gradually to eggs, beating until light and fluffy. Add butter; then add milk alternately in small amounts, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add vanilla. Pour into greases 9-inch layer pans and bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Put raspberry jello or jam between layers and sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
