2 1/4 c. flour
3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. egg whites, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add shortening and 2/3 cup milk and beat together for 2 minutes. Add 1/3 cup milk, egg whites and vanilla. Beat for 3 minutes. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
