1 C firmly packed brown sugar
⅓ C flour
2 C milk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ TBS butter

Directions:
Directions:
Prebake the pie crust.

Heat milk. Mix flour and sugar. Add to hot milk stirring constantly. When it thickens add beaten egg yolks, carefully (or just temper them). Cook, and stir, until thick. Remove from fire and add butter and vanilla. Put into cooked pie crust, put meringue on top and bake until brown.
