1 c. Butter or Oleo
2 c. Sugar
3 Eggs
1/2 c. Commercial Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
4 c. Flour
4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Cloves
2 packages (7 1/4 oz. each) Pitted Chopped Dates

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º.Cream butter and sugar. Separate eggs. Beat yolks, add to creamed mix with the sour cream, tsp. vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, dates. Stir in the flour mixture. Mix well. Fold in 3 stiffly beaten egg whites. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12 - 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
