1/2 c margarine
1/2 c sugar
3 c flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 c buttermilk
1 1/2 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour sifted with baking soda, baking powder, salt.
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Cream in flour mixture in thirds with buttermilk beating until smooth after each addition.
Stir in raisins.
Turn into greased loaf pan, 9x 5 x 3.
Bake for 1 hour
