Whole Chicken cut into pieces
Milk seasoned with salt and pepper
Flour seasoned with salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cut whole chicken into pieces and throw into bowl. Cover chicken with milk. Liberally salt and pepper mixture. Combine flour, salt, and pepper to taste on deep plate. Heat shortening in deep frying pan until hot. Drag each piece through flour mixture and add to frying pan. After all chicken is added, salt, then cover. Allow to cook for several minutes until bottom of chicken is golden brown. Remove cover and turn chicken. Continue to cook until done. Small pieces of chicken can be moved on top of other pieces when they are done cooking as other pieces continue to cook.
