Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe is from Helen Allison’s cookbook. Helen was a special lady in my hometown of Rule, Texas. She published several cookbooks and I use many of her recipes. It brings back great memories of home. She also happens to be the mother-in-law of Art Briles, Baylor Head Football Coach. My boys love this cake and can completely bake it by themselves.
