1 unbaked deep dish 9” pie crust, homemade is best
¼ c. flour
1 ¼ c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
½ c. butter
½ tsp. salt
3 eggs
½ c. buttermilk
½ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Combine flour, sugar, and salt.

Add eggs and butter to the mixture, beating slightly with a whisk. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into pie crusts.

Bake a 350˚ for 45 min. Should be golden brown and set.

Let cool to room temperature or refrigerate before serving.

I have been making this pie since I was a small child. Our family’s contribution to Thanksgiving dinner every year were the pies. There was never any of this left over and our recipe made 2 pies.
