4 egg whites
8 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until fluffy and foamy. Add remaining ingredients and beat until stiff. Spread over favorite pie filling, be sure to seal edges of pie. Bake at 350º 15-20 minutes until lightly browned on top.

Examples of pies that are good with meringue:
chocolate, lemon, coconut, etc.
