1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
1 c peanut butter
1 c vegetable shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 c sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put first 5 ingredients in large mixing bowl and beat all together. Pour a small amount of boiling water over 2 tsp soda. Add to mixing bowl. Then add pinch of salt, vanilla and flour.

Roll into balls and place on floured cookie sheet, press with fork. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
