1/2 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
3/4 c molasses
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream together. Blend in the well beaten egg and molasses. Sift flour once before measuring. Sift flour, soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the sour milk. Pour into a well greased and floured pan. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes.
