Hobo Bread Recipe

1 1/2 cups of raisins
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup boiling water

1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp soft butter
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 egg
chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over raisins and soda and allow to cool.

Once cool, combine raisins with remainder of ingredients, pour into three 303 (30 oz??) cans, 1/2 full. Bake sitting on a sheet pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Once removed from cans, slice in rounds. Good served with butter.
