2 c flour
1 c sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter or shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c sweet milk
1 1/2 tbs lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter until fluffy. Beat eggs until they are the same consistency as whipped cream then add to butter mixture. Add dry ingredients and the liquids beating until smooth after each addition. Add lemon juice and mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes.
Cover with lemon pie canned filling and top with 1/2 recipe of 7 minute icing recipe.
