2 squares Unsweetened Chocolate
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Milk (whole or nonfat)
1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 stick Butter or Margarine
1 cup Nuts
Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, combine first 4 ingredients. Stir and boil until mixture forms small ball when dropped from spoon in glass of cold water. Remove from heat, adding vanilla and butter. Beat mixture, placing pan briefly in cool water in sink. Return to stove and continue boiling until mixture begins to thicken. Add nuts and continue beating until consistency to pour into buttered 8" x 8" pan. Mixture should be setting thick when poured. Can be kept in refrigerator for weeks.
